The store at hippopotype.com is run by Hippopotype Adrian Wysocki, trading as hippopotype, [email protected]. That is the controller of the personal data described here. Questions and requests go to that address.

Only what the store needs to work: an email address and sign-in details to run an account, order and license holder details to deliver the fonts and prove the license later, messages sent through the contact form so they can be answered, and technical logs, including IP addresses, to keep the site secure and fix faults. Signing in uses a one-time code sent by email, not a password.

Payments go through a payment provider, and card details never reach hippopotype. Emails go out through an email delivery service. Each handles the data under its own privacy terms. The fonts themselves are served from hippopotype's own servers.

Orders and license records are kept for as long as the license lasts, and longer where tax law requires. Logs are deleted after a while. Anything else can be deleted on request, unless it is needed to prove a license.

The site uses only the cookies it needs to work: to keep an account signed in, to keep the cart, and to remember display preferences. There is no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking on this site. The payment provider may set its own cookies at checkout.

Under the GDPR, anyone can ask for access to their data, to correct it, to erase it, to restrict or object to its use, or for a copy in a portable form. Write to [email protected]. A complaint can also go to a data protection authority.
