Terms of Sale

The store at hippopotype.com is run by Hippopotype Adrian Wysocki, trading as hippopotype, [email protected]. Questions about an order go to that address, with the order reference.

Every order is a license to use the fonts. Most licenses come with files, delivered as a download from the account. Nothing is shipped. An Advertising license adds rights only and delivers no files. What each license allows is set out in the font license agreement.

Prices are final, with tax already included: the amount shown is the amount charged. Every order has a receipt in the account. A free claim gets a license certificate instead.

Payment is by card, through a payment provider, and card details never reach hippopotype. If a payment fails, nothing is charged.

The files are delivered as soon as the payment is confirmed. Checkout asks for consent to that immediate delivery and records it on the order. Giving it ends the 14-day right of withdrawal a consumer in the European Union would otherwise have for digital content. The files stay downloadable from the account for as long as the license is held. A download link sent by email works for 7 days. After that, sign in and download from the library.

Files that are corrupt or not the ones ordered are replaced. Write to [email protected] with the order reference. Nothing here limits a consumer's rights under the law.

A license bought twice by mistake is refunded within 14 days of the order, as long as the duplicate has not been downloaded. Write to [email protected] with both order references. Other delivered licenses are not refunded.

A free claim involves no payment, so there is nothing to refund. It is a full license under the same agreement, and its files stay downloadable from the account like any other.

These terms are governed by the law of Poland. A consumer in the European Union keeps the mandatory protections of the country where they live.
